The DAC GSM/LTE vandel and weather resistant telephone provides an LTE/GSM modem, LTE (4G)(VoLTE when supported), WCDMA (3G) and GSM (2G) wireless interface, handset and/or handsfree vocal interface to allow the user to originate or answer standard LTE/GSM calls in a manner that mimics the PSTN network.

Designer Systems developed the hardware and software which includes the following features:

  • Based on a dual core WiFi/Bluetooth SoC (System on Chip) processor providing WiFi AP (Access Point) webserver for product configuration and Over The Air (OTA) software updates.
  • LTE/GSM modem, LTE (4G), WCDMA (3G) and GSM (2G) support, with dual SIM (eSIM/nanoSIM) support and SMA antenna interface.
  • GSM/LTE communication with PSTN audio mimic.
  • Enhanced IO capabilities for door, beacon and external load support.
  • Designed to standards R&TTE, EN 301 437, ETSI ES 203 021-2, ITU-T K21 and railway standard EN50121-3 for EMC.
