Designer Systems developed the device hardware and firmware which includes the following features:

  • Zebra scan engine (SE5500-IM00R) and Zebra MIPI decoder (PL5000-CM000R).
  • Xtensa dual core WiFi/Bluetooth SoC (System on Chip) processor providing Bluetooth LE communication with a local Bluetooth device and WiFi Over The Air (OTA) software updates
  • Onboard 3D accelerometer to provide pedometer functionality.
  • Onboard RGB (RED/GREEN/BLUE) LED for visual feedback.
  • Onboard piezo buzzer driver for audible status.
  • Offboard SCAN button interface for single or multiple barcode scan requests.
  • Lithium Polymer (LiPo) battery with USB charging/power/communication function.
  • Exclusively designed for Falcona
