A range of telephone products

The DAC range of vandel and weather resistant telephones are PSTN, GSM and VoIP based telephone systems for rugged applications including, railway crossings, rail platform help phones and train announcement systems. Designer Systems has developed four [4] products currently including a low cost PSTN telephone, full featured handsfree PSTN telephone a GSM telephone with PSTN mimic capabilities and a VoIP telephone with PSTN mimic and advanced IoT connectivity.

Designer Systems developed the hardware and firmware/software which includes the following features:

  • Low power PIC18 microcontroller and ARMv7 designs.
  • PSTN interfaces based on AS2525 and AS2536 telephone devices.
  • GSM communication with PSTN audio mimic.
  • Additional IO capabilities on the handsfree PSTN and GSM telephones.
  • Designed to standards R&TTE, EN 301 437, ETSI ES 203 021-2, ITU-T K21 and railway standard EN50121-3 for EMC.
